Olafur Eliasson is known for his use of colour, light and movement in his intense, experiential, and expansive installations. Over the past year his “Starbrick” has cast a spell over visitors – its 35 light modules suspended, cloud-like, in the majestic domed hall of the Kunsthalle Mannheim’s Jugendstil-Building. With the exhibition “Your trust”, the Kunsthalle again presents an artist who has not been exhibited in south-western Germany for 13 years. “Your trust”focuses on the spatial experience of colour and light. The show provides an insight into the world of one of the most important international contemporary artists. At the same time it is an invitation to visitors to become more consciously aware of their own perception and understanding.
